After graduating with a BA in Social Science/Secondary Education
(Biola University), a certificate from Torrey Honors Institute,
and a teaching credential (Chapman University), I set out to empower
teens as a history teacher. I started substituting and found myself
working with mostly high-risk teens all dealing with enormous
stress at home, at school, and in their hearts.
I was burning out quickly when I found Motivating the Teen Spirit
and realized that these were the tools and skills my teens needed
in order to see their worth, feel better, and focus on relationships
and tasks that would lead to a bright future.
After using these tools to see my worth, heal my marriage, own
my purpose, and shift some of my unhealthy behaviors, I consider
myself blessed to be part of a team that helps teens who walk in
to a Safe Space with pain and confusion walk out of it with clarity,
confidence, commitment to a healthier and happier future, and the
tools to make it happen.
