Serving Sacramento, CA
Anchor/Reporter, Good Day Sacramento CW 31
I have been working as an on-air member of the popular Good
Day Sacramento morning television news program on CW 31 for
almost 15 years. Before television, I acquired Bachelors degrees
in Early Childhood, Communications, and Geography (CSU Sacramento)
and then worked on various radio stations for many years, including
the upbeat Sacramento morning show at KSFM 102.5.
In 2009, I made a frightening breast cancer diagnosis public to
encourage others to take care of their health, became a survivor,
and began spending time supporting local breast cancer events as
a speaker or participant. I have also been invited to emcee at numerous
youth and school events on topics such as self-esteem, goal-setting,
and diversity throughout my 20-year TV/radio career, and became
involved with MTS to help teens discover their purpose and potential.
I want to be a guide on their path of self-discovery and acceptance,
and am grateful for how this work has helped me become a better
mother to my teenage daughter.
